GoCikgu app for iPhone and iPad

he Astronautical Association of Malaysia (AstroX) has launched the Astronautics Club
Malaysia in January 2015 and currently has over 1,000 members to date. We have
overwhelming response from schools and teachers that wishes to join and signup to have
the astronautics club in their schools. To promote growth we need to educate the teachers on how to adopt and run the programme in their schools. To support this venture we are
proposing to develop an App that is specifically designed for teachers to join our network.
It will be called “GoCikgu” App. We intend to reach out to teachers who are located away
from major cities by using our “GoCikgu” App in which delivery of our service is hard to
reach. Teachers from rural and city outskirts will be able to log on our services via the app
by just connecting to cellular data connection. Teachers will be able to network with other
teachers and have the option of broadening their skill s by attending some of our
developmental short courses over weekends. Teachers will be able to adopt the
programmme seamlessly and run the astronautics club in their schools by downloading our class modules and syllabus. Teachers will be able to tap on our content and also
contribute their own content through features in our App. A special segment will enable
them to crowd-fund for any personal projects that they have and procure and purchase
products from us to further enhance their programmes. With 7,746 government primary
schools nationwide, the project is scalable to cost with limitless possibilities. The
development of the “GoCikgu” app for mobile users is essential for the growth of our
programme to help the underserved community by providing teachers with the ability to access their profile and project status through their mobile devices. This is will further
promote our programme and market it beyond borders.
